Cebu Pacific Incident: Melissa Mendez' side

Melissa Mendez defends her rights.
We have seen too many articles that made Melissa Mendez dignity go down. This article is not to defend the actress but we aim not to be one-sided with issues that concern citizens.

Here is some posts on Facebook about defending the actress on the Cebu Pacific incident where she was unloaded and said 'banned' from the airlines. The incident involved Andrew Wolf and his friend, Rey Pamaran, whom Melissa admitted was hit by her because he said that the actress had a foul breath.

Posts on Facebook that defends Melissa Mendez' side.
According to some passenger's statement, the actress was just sitting in the seat of Andrew Wolf's friend to take a picture of the clouds near the window. Who should we believe? I think no one, because we were not present when the incident happened and let us try to be neutral until the issue is solved.

Quezon City Stigmata Child is FAKE/HOAX

Another fools who believe in falsiness.
A baby from Quezon City that has identical wounds of the crucified Jesus Christ. Funny!

The baby named Jejomar Castillo was born at Quezon City General Hospital. Since the news was spread out, the baby has attracted a lot of faithful devotees wanting to witness the stigmata. BULLSHIT.

The real image is way cuter. Congrats to the mother!
This is the unedited photo of the child dubbed as World's seven billionth baby.
This baby girl's real name is Danica May Camacho, a girl born in Philippine capital Manila, is chosen by UN to symbolically mark global population milestone. Do not be deceived by false PHOTOSHOPS guys.

All I can say is in today's generation, editing is too easy and people easily get fooled by false propaganda.

Jolo Revilla admitted that he accidentally shot himself

Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla
Manila, Philippines - "Nagkamali ako." (I made a mistake)

That was an admission that came from Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla himself in what his lawyer Raymond Fortun said was “accidental.”

In a medical bulletin issued at 5 p.m, Revilla was brought back to the intensive care unit of the Asian Hospital after undergoing an operation to stop the internal bleeding sustained from the gun shot wound in the upper right portion of his chest.

In a post on her Facebook account, Revilla’s mother and Cavite second district representative Lani Mercado said that a half liter of his blood was drained from his lungs.

The operation lasted for two and half hours where a tube was inserted in his lungs to drain excess blood.

Mercado-Revilla asked for prayers for the recovery of his son.

“Please continue to pray for him,” she said.

Only family members are allowed to visit Revilla due to his “delicate” condition following the operation.

Revilla suffered a single gun shot wound after a .40 Glock hand gun “accidentally” went off while cleaning, the family claimed.

Meanwhile, detained Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. will ask for a 24-hour furlough to visit his son at the Asian Hospital.

Fortun said the furlough would be filed before the Sandiganbayan by Monday or Tuesday. AJH; With reports from Bayani San Diego and Kristine Mangunay.

READ THE FULL-TEXT: Mga minamahal ko pong kababayan:

Sabi nga sa Bibliya, “An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.”

Tulad nga po ng sinabi ni Martin Luther King sa Amerika: “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

(Source: gov.ph)

Filipino Catholics on Ash Wednesday and Tagle calls for Charity

Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.
A month after  Pope Francis visited the Philippines, the Filipinos are now observing the Ash Wednesday.

What is Ash Wednesday?

Ash Wednesday, a day of fasting, is the first day of Lent in Western Christianity. It occurs 46 days (40 fasting days, if the 6 Sundays, which are not days of fast, are excluded) before Easter and can fall as early as 4 February or as late as 10 March. Ash Wednesday is observed by many Western Christians, including Catholics, Lutherans, Methodists, Anglicans, and Presbyterians.

The Manila Archdiocese Cardinal Tagle urged Filipinos to be charitable, that the money saved from fasting should be donated to charity in order to feed children and the poor.

Last year, 2014, the Fast2Feed campaign has fed over 150,000 children in Yolanda-affected areas and another 20,000 children during HAPAG-ASA feeding program.

On Ash Wednesday, millions of Filipinos go to church to have their foreheads marked with a cross using ash from palm fronds blessed during the Palm Sunday of the previous year's Holy Week.

NapeƱas is a failure, says Miriam

Relieved Special Action Force (SAF) director Getulio NapeƱas during the hearing.
Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago called relieved Special Action Force (SAF) director Getulio NapeƱas a failure that resulted in the death of the 44 PNP-SAF.

According to the mission plan, the PNP SAF commandos should have reached the target at 2:30 a.m but there were "intervening factors" involved that made the operation a failure.

Miriam told NapeƱas that he's a failure and incompetent because he let those intervening factors affect and change the course of operation. "If the operation can't be perfect, at least it runs smoothly", she added.

In addition, she tackled about how insulted she was on how the rebels uploaded the viral video on Youtube and bragged about their killings like it was a trophy to kill the PNP-SAF during the encounter.

Miriam made Purisima look like a puppy

During the hearing, Miriam scolded Purisima like a disobedient child. Image source: ANC
Miriam Defensor Santiago is back! This is what the Netizens label her come back to the senate hearings after being quiet for some time. This time she was scolding the former PNP Chief Alan Purisima due to his involvement in the Mamasapano incident.

If you did not intervene, they should have alive today!" It is what Senator Miriam told Purisima during the hearing. The Senator also scolded the former PNP chief due to his pointing fingers and stating he does not know anything that was accused to him.

Purisima told Miriam that he only gave an advise to the PNP-SAF's 'Oplan Wolverine' operation and did not order them. But this made Miriam even more angrier because you can't say it is an advise when it is being followed, it is already a form of order.

But the interesting part that the Netizens have noticed is that how Miriam made Purisima like a puppy with the look of his face. Miriam's charisma and brave words really made Purisima look like a disobedient child.

Iqbal questions the viral video's authenticity

MILF chief peace negotiator Mohagher Iqbal
During the hearing of the still controversial viral video of Mamasapano killing, Senator Trillanes IV questioned the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) chief peace negotiator Mohagher Iqbal if it was one of his men who brutally killed the PNP-SAF in a Mamasapano viral video that has scattered in the social media today.

Mohagher Iqbal stated that the viral video could be a work of an advanced technology that most people are now knowledgeable today (Like movie effects, etc). It could be just an act because the video scattered in the social media. He also said that it could be a work of those who want to accuse the MILF so that the Bangsamoro Basic Law would be dismissed because of the outrage of the Filipino people.

Many netizens are outraged by his statment saying that such happening shouldn't be questioned. Because they don't think what happened was a just a dramatic play and things like this should be taken seriously, not to be doubted.

The authenticity of the viral video is supported by the statement made by the brother of the police that was brutally killed in the video, Julius Sagonoy, who confirmed and is undoubtful that it was his brother PO1 Joseph Sagonoy who was on the video.

The identity of the gunman is still being investigated as of today.

Marwan's dying declaration sent on e-mail

Marwan sent brother his dying declaration through e-mail
CHICAGO – Malaysian terrorist Zulkifli bin Hir reportedly wrote his brother in 2006 instructing him to dispose of his inheritance from their father and give them to his two children if he died “as a martyr.”

Zulkifli had e-mailed his elder brother Rahmat, a naturalized US citizen currently serving sentence for conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists.

“If I died as a martyr, and if there was some inheritance from the sale of dad’s land, please don’t forget about my two children here. Please don’t forget to transfer them into the same account that you’ve been using,” Zulkifli, also known as Marwan, wrote his brother in July 2006.

Marwan repeatedly emailed his brother detailing the firefights between the Philippine military and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

“Two martyred, 20 troops died. From here, the location is about six or seven hours away on foot. The fighting is still going on until now. I can hear it from my location. It started early morning from 6 o’clock until evening. I think it has been going on for eight days now. Earlier today, a helicopter was flying back and forth over in that area. You can hear it from here,” Marwan told his brother in an email on June 30, 2006.

Marwan said 27 government troops died in the battle against five in the MILF. He did not say where the fighting took place.

“My friend was just telling me again that there are four martyrs now. He is in the field right now. The other day, two of my friends from here (they’re about five kilometers from my location) went out to reinforce. He wanted to join the battle. In the future, I want to go when there is need for reinforcement. I can’t go by myself. I must have a local guide with me,” Marwan said.

In several email messages, Marwan detailed how it was to live among “martyrs.”

He also mentioned the involvement of the US government in the battle of the Philippine government against Muslim rebels.

He said the US military is using Orion spy planes and Predator drones to help Philippine troops monitor the movements of the Muslim rebels.

Marwan also mentioned a “J” among them, apparently referring to a member of the regional terror network Jemaah Islamiyah (JI).

The JI was tagged in the 2002 Bali bombings where 202 people were killed.

“J” could also mean “jihadist,” someone engaged in a holy war against unbelievers of Islam.

In another email, Marwan said, “On July 10, 2006 approximately ten days after the death of A. Hashim, one squad of Special Action Forces (SAF) commandos, around 15 people, armed with M-4s, mini-M-60, 9mm pistols, 45 caliber pistols, night vision, and guided by government assets (spies) surrounded Lagu’s home with objective of capturing him (maybe alive).

“His house was broken into and the door got torn off. His wife and child were able to get out before the exchange of fire. Three of Lagu’s neighbors with Armalite rifles were able to assist until the attacking commandos withdrew. As a result, two commandos died, including team leader. One M-4 Armalite, one Taurus 9mm pistol, one .45 Norincol pistol, one night vision, one led diode flashlight, two M-60 belts with 200 rounds were seized.

“Lagu was asleep already in the house, protected by Allah. The people there took all of the spoils of war. Man! The rifles were new, the latest,” he said.

Rifles for sale

On Sept. 1, 2006, Rahmat reportedly wire transferred to Marwan the amount $5,500 through a Maybank account in the name of Minah binti Aogis Abd Aziz.

On or about Sept. 30, 2006, Zulkifli sent email to Rahmat, “If you have some available, please send a little bit more.”

“Over here people are ready to go to war. The US Orion spy plane has been circling the sky around the areas here during these past 3 to 4 days.”

Again Marwan wrote to his brother on Nov. 9, 2006, “We will know whether there will be a war or not by the 16th of November that would be the deadline for the Philippine government to submit the counter proposal to the MILF.”

Marwan also revealed corruption in the Philippine military.

“Commander A. Wahid says that there is a soldier who wants to sell a new .50 caliber for US$5,000. He said that he can only afford $2,000 and asked to find the remaining $3,000… The government assets (spies) at Pikit are regular people, not commanders. Among the five assets the other day, two of them died. One died three days after the Aug. 10th incident for stealing a motorcycle. He was caught by the locals and beaten to death. The other one died around two or three days before the Raya celebration, shot by an Armalite. The shooters were friends of Lagu’s neighbors,” he said.

On Feb. 9, 2007, Marwan sent Rahmat an email saying how some MILF commanders have double loyalties.

“Adan Abdula is the base commander of division 106. He has his left foot on the MILF, and his right foot on Datu Andal. When they have battle with Amer Umra Kato from division 105, his troops become Andal’s dogs merged with Andal’s troops. Was shot by someone...” Marwan said in referring to Andal Ampatuan, one of the accused in the Maguindanao massacre in 2009 and Kato, the leader of the breakaway Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters that vowed to go against the peace negotiations of the MILF with the Philippine government.

On March 6, 2007, Marwan sent an email to Rahmat telling him he was constantly on the run.

“The latest update I heard was that 17 died as martyrs and more than 60 soldiers were killed. The American soldiers operated unmanned Predator spy plane, which has been hovering around more than four times above Bngla’s house. I am currently mobile, moving from one place to another.”

Marwan later sent an email saying US spy planes were hovering over his area.

“Spy planes have been hovering over this area these past two days. There is a big (US Orion). There is a small one that looks like an eagle (Predator). This FM radio receiver has been picking up American voices during these past two days: ‘We are ready to launch.’”

Marwan said the Americans have joined the Filipino troops for joint exercise in his area.

“Do you still have the radio scanner that you used to have? How much does a set cost? The latest update is that more than twenty died as martyrs, more than 70 soldiers killed, and more than a hundred injured,” Marwan told his elder brother.

DNA sample

Zulkifli and Rahmat were charged in violation of a 9/11-inspired International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) in the US.

Under this law, the US President has authority to “investigate, regulate, or prohibit” transactions involving “any property in which any foreign country or a national thereof has any interest by any person, or with respect to any property, subject to the jurisdiction of the United States.”

On Sept. 23, 2001, President George W. Bush, based on IEEPA, issued Executive Order No. 13224, entitled “Blocking Property and Prohibiting Transactions with Persons Who Commit, Threaten to Commit or Support Terrorism” to address “the terrorist attacks in New York, Pennsylvania and the Pentagon committed on Sept. 11, 2001” and “the continuing and immediate threat of further attacks on US nationals or the United States.”

Without naming Rahmat as Zulkifli’s relative, the FBI could have used the DNA of Rahmat to match his brother’s based on the sentencing guidelines pronounced by Judge Jeremy Fogel of the US District Court in Northern California.

Fogel had ordered Rahmat to “cooperate in the collection of DNA as directed by the probation officer.”

The DNA sample provided by Rahmat was used to compare the biological sample supposedly taken from Zulkifli’s body in the Philippines.

Following a 20-minute hearing on Aug. 26, 2010, Fogel sentenced Rahmat to spend 120 months in a federal prison, three years’ supervised release and $100 special assessment fee.

Rahmat had pleaded guilty to a single count of conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists in the offense and dismissed the rest of the indictments returned by a grand jury on Aug. 1, 2007.

Had Rahmat gone to trial, he would have faced 15 years in prison and $250,000 fine if he were convicted on charges of conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists.

Because Rahmat is “not considered a threat the United States,” Fogel said he “should be housed accordingly” and be “remanded to the Custody of the US Marshal” and his “appearance bond is hereby exonerated.”

Since Rahmat could not be deported because he is a US naturalized citizen, Fogel also ordered him to a three-year supervised release and report to the probation office in the district of release within 72 hours from the custody of the Bureau of Prisons.

Rahmat was also ordered to “not unlawfully possess a controlled substance” and “shall submit to one drug test within 15 days of release from imprisonment and two periodic drug tests.”

However, the “drug testing condition is suspended based on the court’s determination that the defendant poses a low risk of future substance abuse” and the “defendant shall not possess a firearm, ammunition, destructive device, or any other dangerous weapon.”

Rahmat, 51, is currently detained at the Federal Correctional Institution Lompoc, a low security institution in Lompoc, California. He is scheduled to be released on April 18, 2016.

Rahmat was indicted by a grand jury based on records unsealed on Aug. 1, 2007.

The indictments were based on a series of exchanges of email messages between Rahmat and Marwan “beginning on a date unknown and continuing through at least August 2007 in the Northern District of California and elsewhere.”

In sending terrorism materials, Rahmat used his sender’s names as “Sean Kasem, Sean Kalimin, Roy Kalimin and Salam A. Jabar” while he addressed the packages to his younger brother under the aliases as “Zulkifli Bin Abdul Hir, Hulagu, Holagu, Lagu, Marwan, Kulon, Musa Abdul, Musa Abdul Hir, Zulkifli Abdul Hir, Zulkifli bin Hir, Abdul Hir bin Zulkifli, Abdulhir Bin Hir and Bin Abdul Hir Zulkifli.”

Rahmat used his email address of ariman789@yahoo.com and sends his email to his brother under the email handles, ikankariman@yahoo.com and dutyfree97@yahoo.com.

In their email exchanges, Marwan wanted Rahmat to send him “accessories for firearms, backpacks, Insignia two-way radios, knives and publications about firearms” to the Philippines, using such codes as “iron” for firearms, “dogs” for government agents and “prizes and presents” for bombs or IEDs (improvised explosive devices).

Zulkifli was either born on Jan. 5, 1966 or Oct. 5, 1966 in Muar, Johor, Malaysia. He speaks Malaysian, English, Tagalog and Arabic. He was an engineer trained in the US. Zulkifli was said to be the head of Kumpulun Mujahidin Malaysia (KMM) terrorist organization and a ranking member of JI central command. He trained terrorist organizations in bomb making, including the notorious Abu Sayyaf in southern Philippines.

Marawi City - These Maranaos took of their shows as a sign of submission and plea for the continuation of the hearing of Bangsamoro Basic Law and opposes the call of an "all-out-war". The Death of the PNP-SAF's Fallen 44 contributed to an outrage of an all-out-war after they have been 'massacred' from the cornfields in Mamasapano, Maguindanao.

Breaking News - Resigned Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Alan Purisima broke his silence last night, saying he provided the actionable information but was not in command of the Jan. 25 operation in Mamasapano, Maguindanao that left 44 police commandos dead.

“I was suspended. I was not in command. This was the role of the ground commander,” Purisima told GMA 7 News as he revealed that he provided the “intelligence packet” for the operation to get top terrorists Zulkifli bin Hir, alias Marwan, and Abdul Basit Usman.

Purisima, whose resignation was accepted last night by President Aquino, thanked the chief executive for giving him the chance to serve. “It has been an honor and privilege,” he said, to have served the nation for over three decades.

He promised to face the Senate on Monday and denied accusations of wrongdoing that led to his six-month suspension on corruption charges by the Office of the Ombudsman.

Purisima, who would have reached the mandatory retirement age of 56 this November, denied that he was pressured to resign, saying he quit to give Aquino more room to act on the problems arising from the Mamasapano operation.

The resigned PNP chief also denied that he was with Aquino in Zamboanga City on Jan. 25, waiting for the SAF team to present the wanted terrorists. Purisima said he was a guest speaker the previous day in Nueva Ecija.

Asked if the United States played a role in the Mamasapano operation, Purisima invoked classified information and said, “Your information is as good as mine.”

Purisima also denied giving the SAF commander instructions to inform PNP officer-in-charge Leonardo Espina about the Mamasapano operation only when it was already underway. This was a decision of the ground commander, Purisima said.

He admitted that the successful operation to neutralize Marwan came at a steep price as he saluted the fallen SAF men. Purisima said he knew the risks the commandos took, being a former SAF officer himself.

He read the resignation letter he submitted to the President in which he reiterated his commitment to the straight path or tuwid na daan of the Aquino administration.

Purisima also expressed hope that the reforms he initiated as PNP chief would make a lasting impact as he promised to continue serving the nation in his capacity as a private citizen.

Asked what he planned to do upon his retirement, he said he wanted to go back to farming and breathe some fresh air. – Cecille Suerte Felipe

MalacaƱang - The President of the Philippines, Benigno Aquino III has given his second speech live today amid the on-going controversy of the Mamasapano Clash/incident between the Moro rebels and the PNP-SAF.

Live HD video coverage of the speech (Aired February 6, 2015, 7:04 pm)

Because of the audio problem from the start until 3 minutes and 2 seconds, here's a full text version of the speech:

Bakit nangyaring walang koordinasyon?

- Source: Philippine Star

Marwan's Bounty could go to 2 MILF members

MILF rebels
This news really made me laugh. The 6-million US dollar bounty of Marwan's death goes to the 2 MILF (Moro-Islamic Liberation Front) so-called whistleblowers?

What about the families of the Fallen 44 who did all the hard work? This news, aside from being funny is fishy at the same time. There's a conspiracy involved in here, are the rebels playing the Filipino people with their hands?

There is rumor that the raid on Marwan's territory was all because of the multimillion bounty. If this is true, this could link up to why the MILF should get the bounty. What would they do with the all the money?

1. It would be either that the 2 MILFs will live in a luxury
2. It will fund the uprising of the rebels.
3. There is a higher rank in the government behind this and wants to get the profit of money and control over the rebels

As long as the investigation goes on, the truth shall prevail. But in our system, we can't be sure if the truth is just a cloaked lie. If this is just all about the bounty, better give it to the families of the Fallen 44 PNP-SAF.

Politicians taking advantage of Mamasapano incident

According to Sen. Trillanes, some politicians are taking advantage of the Mamasapano incident against President Benigno Aquino III.

This is a possibility, knowing that the present president of the Philippines has made lots of enemies because of how many politicians went to prison during his reign. If I am an enemy of the current president, I would use this issue as an advantage to push on the impeachment propaganda. Impeachment of a president due to the miscoordination of the raid on Mamasapano is absurd.

In war, there will always be casualties, a president may be the Commander-in-Chief but the rest goes with the direct command of the higher ranking officials and its men. If we blame the president for this incident, it is like saying he used a joystick and he controlled the Fallen 44 PNP-SAF and led them to death.

This issue is a good strategy to use against the president in order for him to be impeached. But Filipinos should think ahead, who will replace the president if he gets impeached? Won't that make the situation worst?
